Frequently asked questions
Does the SkyTrak ST MAX require a subscription?
Not for core data. The SkyTrak ST MAX captures ball and club data with a free Basic plan. Paid SkyTrak memberships (Essential, Core, and Elite) add practice features, course play with Foresight or Trackman software, and more. A 14 day Essential trial is included.
What is the difference between the SkyTrak ST MAX and SkyTrak+?
The SkyTrak ST MAX replaces the SkyTrak+. It adds Speed Training powered by GOLFTEC, a new modular internal design for more stable calibration, dual USB C ports for charging and data at the same time, a faster processor, and a charcoal grey finish. Ball and club tracking works the same way.
How much space do I need for a SkyTrak ST MAX?
SkyTrak lists a minimum unobstructed area of about 10 feet long by 10 feet wide for the ST MAX. Safe ceiling height depends on your own height and club length. The unit sits on the floor beside the ball, so no ceiling mount is needed.
What simulator software works with the SkyTrak ST MAX?
The SkyTrak ST MAX runs SkyTrak's own software, with course play through Foresight or Trackman software on Core and Elite memberships. It also works with third party software such as GSPro and E6 Connect.
Can I use the SkyTrak ST MAX outdoors?
Yes. The SkyTrak ST MAX is battery powered, so you can use it at home or at the range.
What is SkyTrak Speed Training?
Speed Training powered by GOLFTEC is exclusive to the SkyTrak ST MAX. It uses guided drills and measurable progress to help you build swing speed and add distance.
What computer or device do I need for the SkyTrak ST MAX?
The SkyTrak ST MAX works with SkyTrak's app on a Windows PC or compatible iPad. For course play with Foresight or Trackman software, plan on a Windows 10 or 11 (64 bit) PC with a dedicated graphics card.
